Here is another installment of Miss Pastelito’s My Little Cake videos and this time around they are preparing the strawberry dressed, chocolate lava cake!
You are going to want to bake the cake into ramekins or muffin molds to obtain the original form of every lava cake. Preheat the oven 374 degrees Farenheit. Place a little pot on the stove. Melt the butter in it completely. Put the little bits of chocolate in it. Mix it well until the chocolate melts completely and turns one with the butter. Let it cool down!
Mix the whole eggs, the egg yolks, the sugar, the tiny pinch of salt and the vanilla extract. Stir until everything melts completely. Add the mixture of chocolate and butter that you left to cool off. Lastly, add the flour pouring it through a strainer and add the cocoa powder. Stir until you establish one homogeneous mixture of chocolate. Beware of the crumbs!
2. Straight in the Oven
If you didn’t manage to find separate ramekins, use scissors to cut the four-piece that you have. This will save you some time and nerves later on when you will need to place the lava onto a plate. You don’t want it to erupt while still in the kitchen!
Lay some butter at the bottom of the ramekins. Sprinkle some flour on top of it too. Spill the mixture into the molds and put them in the oven.
10 minutes of baking will suffice!
You wanna feel in the middle of the cake. The center should not be as hardened as the edges of the cake. Get a spatula and run it along the edges to loosen them up. Flip it around and put it on the plate that you are going to use to serve it. Flip!
You surely want your lava to make an entrance! Sprinkle a little bit of powdered sugar on top. Lastly, place a couple of strawberries randomly. The matching colors will entice the eye as well!
There you have it, the perfect lava cake.
