This Is What Mama June Ate To Go From 460 Pounds To A Size 4

June Shannon aka, as most of us know her, Mama June, has been everywhere lately after losing a load of weight and filming her new reality show called Mama June: From Not To Hot.

She’s a size of four now and says that she has made a lot of healthy decisions in her diet to lose weight.

During an interview with People Magazine, her trainer Kenya Crooks shared some of Mama June’s healthy eating strategies.

She cut soda by the time she decided to undergo her weight-loss journey as her neurologist told her that after the car accident she was in, she needs to stop drinking cola.

June was such a soda lover, so Kenya suggested that she should try out fruit-infused water instead.

“For people who don’t like to drink water by itself, what we’ve done is we’ve thrown some strawberries and kiwi in there,” Kenya says. “It’s really good, and it helps you get it down a whole lot faster.”

But as infusing fruit into water takes time, when she’s busy, Mama June makes sure to drink Propel flavored waters.

“Propel has great flavors like Grape and Wild Cherry and Kiwi Strawberry,” she says “Honestly, to me, they taste like soda. If I drink soda right now, it would taste like crap.”

And for people who have a sweet tooth, Kenya suggests eating watermelon to satisfy cravings.

“The cool thing about watermelon is that it’s basically 92 percent liquid,” he says. “It satisfies your sweet tooth, but you can also pee-pee that thing right out!”

Chips and junk food are also a big no, but if you really crave having one, then Kenya recommends having apple or grapes chips instead. As for Mama June, she says that she loves the grape swap.

“Grapes are probably my favorite thing,” she says.

Most importantly, she is very proud of her weight loss and is not afraid to show off the results. She has been keeping her social media busy posting pictures of her slimmed-down body.

“I’ve worked my ass off working out, getting healthy,” Mama June said during her show’s finale. “And now I feel like becoming the person on the outside that I always felt like on the inside.”
