The fast-food chain McDonald’s is known to make all of your sweet wishes come true in terms of tasty food. It was first founded in 1940 (77 years ago), and some people still don’t get how they serve the food, apparently. Interestingly, in a 2012 report, it was revealed that McDonald’s feeds 1% of the Earth’s population every day. That’s an astonishing 68 million people! One unnamed 30-year-old man from New South Wales, Australia, has been arrested for drink-driving after he ordered 200 hash browns early in the morning. He wanted to order something from the regular menu at 4.50am and the staff, obviously, rejected him. His story should, in theory, teach you a lesson.
You would normally expect them to serve nothing but breakfast at this time, right?
Customers are always needy, though. If they want Chicken McNuggets at 5 am, they will ask for it. And, that’s what this unnamed customer did.
After the staff rejected this customer, he decided to get some revenge. He became irritated and ordered something else instead. Surprisingly to everyone, he ordered 200 hash browns from the breakfast menu and proceeded to drive four laps of the drive-thru the Sydney branch.
After this, the staff became very concerned and decided to call the police, worrying about their safety. When the police arrived, the man was just outside, waiting for his hash browns to be ready.
Shortly after, the 30-year-old from Epping, New South Wales was breathalyzed. The police actually found him to be three times over the drink-drive limit. The Australian Daily Telegraph reported that the customer has since had his license suspended and is due to appear at Hornsby Court on November 30.
This is not a comfortable situation to find yourself in, so be careful how you behave after you drink too much. This man decided to drive, but it turned out to be the worst decision ever made.
While we’re on the subject of McDonald’s, here are a few secrets about the restaurant chain.
