Reports from insiders close to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are claiming that the enamored couple are already engaged and are due to announce the big news ‘soon’.
The 33-year-old royal and the American actress, 36, have been dating just over a year now. Some believe they are already engaged, but the ginger-haired prince reportedly doesn’t want to share the big news before he has had a chance to celebrate with his family.
A source told Us Magazine: “Harry always planned to share the news only with family at first so he could enjoy it before word spread. But they will make an official announcement soon.”
Markle’s friends believe the engagement won’t be announced before the Los Angeles-born actress wraps the filming of legal drama Suits‘ seventh and final season in November.
The insider explained: “It’d be a security nightmare to do it sooner. She’d be followed everywhere.”
Prince Harry is reportedly secretly engaged to Meghan Markle but wants to celebrate in private first
It is predicted that once the news is made public, the 36-year-old star will move from her home in Toronto, Canada, to Harry’s home in Kensington Palace in London.
“She’ll relocate to London for sure. There, she’ll be on hand to help plan a detailed media roll-out,” the insider added.
“They will most likely hold a small photo call at Kensington Palace, with just one photographer and journalist invited. On the same day, they’ll do a TV interview that will be syndicated around the world.”
Due to the nature of their high-profile relationship, the brunette beauty has been given round-the-clock security since the romance began.
The couple sent the rumor mill into overdrive when they made their first official public appearance together at the Invictus Games in Toronto last month
A resident living near Meghan said: “She hasn’t been around much for the last few days – Friday night they were here. I tell you, when he’s here, the street is full of police and security people. They just go straight in and they don’t come out.”
At the end of September, the hotly-followed couple made their first official public appearance together at the Invictus Games in Toronto – a para-sport event for wounded, injured or sick armed services personnel and their associated veterans. Their appearance at the event created by Prince Harry himself in 2014 was seen as an obvious hint at an imminent engagement.
The pair seemed very much in love, flirting and holding hands as they watched wheelchair tennis. Within hours, the betting shop chain Ladbrokes suspended betting on an imminent announcement of an engagement.
Meghan also attended the event’s closing ceremony, accompanied by her mother Doria who seemed to have been getting on splendidly with her probable future son-in-law.
