Melissa McCarthy Told Us What She Did To Lose Weight – It’s Very Simple

And yes, it’s achievable.

Not that Melissa McCarthy enjoys talking about it. But that’s only human. However, when the subject does come up, she always, always has the perfect response.

When they asked her recently about her new, slimmer size, she came clean about her 50-pound weight loss. And what did she say was her secret?

“A super boring life.”

“You bring it real down, you don’t do anything fun and you go to bed at 7:30 — that’s the trick,” she told Extra.

She told People in June 2015 that the minute she stopped caring so much, there was a difference in her body.

“I stopped over-analyzing, over-thinking, over-doing anything. I kinda went back to when I was pregnant and I just stopped constantly being worried about it and I think there’s something to kinda loosening up and not being so nervous and rigid about it that, bizarrely, has worked.”

After every success she counted, a writer, an excellent comedian and a mom, she’s conquering the fashion business. She’s now focusing on what’s known as “plus size” clothes.


“A good portion of women in America are size 14 and higher. I just try to make clothing that’ll make all women feel really good,” she told Redbook. “When I feel good about my clothes, I’m more patient with my kids. I don’t beep at the guy in his car texting in front of me. I look at the world a little differently. The small happy moments add up. A little bit of joy goes a long way.”
