If you were not blessed with thick and full eyebrows, there’s something that can help: microblading. It’s a face tattoo technique but isn’t as scary as it sounds.
Nadia Afanaseva, microblading expert, and trainer at Eye Design New York told InStyle: “Microblading is perfect for those who want to fully reconstruct, define, cover gaps or fill-in over plucked brows,”
Around six months ago Beauty Assistant at Revelist, Nicola Dall’Asen decided to try this technique and get her eyebrows microbladed. She got her eyebrows drawn with small needles. What really happens is the microblade is dipped into a selected color of pigment and then is used to make a fine cut in the skin. With this, you get the pigment implanted into the skin, which is known as micropigmentation.
Apparently the new brows are supposed to last two who years, but it will be better if you go for a touch-up after six months.
What Nicola wanted to know is how her eyebrows will look after six months.
Here are how her eyebrows looked like pre-microblade.
And this is how her eyebrows looked after the first session
However, only after two weeks, they started to fade and she was feeling anxious about it.
But it looks like even after six months her eyebrows look as good as the first day
“They’re not nearly as dark as they once were — I do fill them in or use brow gel on the days I want them to be even more bold — but they still maintain their shape well enough that I’m confident leaving the house without touching them (something I never thought I’d say).”
“Do I absolutely need a touch-up just yet? No.” Nicola Dall’Asen wrote for Revelist.
Guess who is investing in one this year?
Looks like it’s me.
