We are witnessing the fashion and the styles revolution throughout the years. Some of the trends that have been hit during the 20s, let’s say, may be coming back now, while some have thrived just in their time.
The same goes for the hairstyles and haircuts revolution. The Seattle-based production company, Cut.com created the following video, which shows the epic revolution of the styles in Germany from the 1900s to present day. In this minute-and-a-half clip, the model Brook Williams is being ‘transformed’ ten times, representing the hairstyles that have been trendy during those years. She dresses up like a woman from a 1953 East Germany propaganda poster as well as the German supermodel, Claudia Schiffer, who was popular in the 1990s.
The video starts with a simple wedding hairstyle in the 1910s.
Then, she represents both women in East and West Germany in the ’50s and ’60s. Definitely, the biggest innovation and modification has happened during the ’80s. The model is unrecognizable with different makeup and style in the ’80s from both West and East Germany. Who remembers this?
As time goes by, women tend towards a fresher look and more natural look, when it comes to make up and hairstyles and this is not a case only in Germany.
Take a look at the video that has more than 5.833.420 views to date.
Some of the previous episodes from the series of 100 years of beauty highlighted different fashion trends, such as America, Russian, Indian and Mexican cultures. See if you can find your country (or continent!) in there, and tell us if it’s true!
