A lot of you have probably experienced the feeling of finding a shortcut or a hack to make your house just a little bit nicer without paying a lot of money, and then feeling good about yourself.
Others may have discovered the hack in question after they had done the more expensive and painstaking way. That’s not a nice feeling, but I just felt the need to mention it.
Now, a lot of people think it’s basically an authoritarian rule to have tiles in the bathroom. Tiles or stone in some form. If it’s anything else other than tiles, be it on the walls or on the floor, it won’t get a looking.
However, this lady who goes by the name of Joanna Gaines (@joannagaines on Instagram) has decided to take the seemingly nothing-to-write-home-about linoleum floor in the bathroom.
Just a couple of coats of paint and the use of her drawing skills completely transformed the floor in the bathroom into a total masterpiece.
Check out the pictures below to see how the floor was transformed:
It all started with 8 fluid ounces of chalky finish black paint, and 8 fluid ounces of white.
After the paint was picked up, she started giving the floor some coats of black. As the caption clearly states, there was no turning back after this.
After the black was fully applied, this is what the floor looked like:
The design was then drawn on the floor using stencils and some painter’s tape.
And the final result was this:
From a rather uninspiring plain linoleum floor, to this really cool intricate black and white design that is guaranteed to grab someone’s attention when they go to do their business.
The inspiration for this design was Joanne Gaines’ floor design, and they look almost identical!
Props to this lady, she did a fantastic job on this floor.
