You can finally stop waiting for your Hogwarts letter. You can take the matters into your own hands and apply to be taught in a real-life school of witchcraft and wizardry.
OH MY GOD, RIGHT?!
Thanks to Harry Potter fan club Mimbulus Mimbletonia Association, the Château de Jolibert in Bourgougnague, France will transform into Hogwarts for four days this May.
Here’s what the fansite says:
Mimbulus Mimbletonia is organising an event based on the first book in the saga, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone.
Come and take part in the sorting ceremony, enrol for courses in botany, spells, potions, and of course Muggle Quidditch. Do not forget to collect points for your house, so that it can win the cup!
Before you pack your bags, you should know, the lessons will be in French.
Which means you have until May to learn French.
They’ll choose from one hundred lucky individuals to learn about magic stuff from 25-28 May. You have to be over 16 to apply.
There will also be a Diagon Alley, because what’s the point of going to Hogwarts if you don’t have your school supplies, duh.
Harry Potter prequel spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, starring Eddie Redmayne as magizoologist Newt Scamander, will be released in the UK on 18 November. The screenplay has been written by author J.K. Rowling who recently announced the franchise will span five films.
