Personal Trainer Gained 70 Pounds And Then Lost Them Alongside His Client

If you’re going to the gym, it’s a good idea to invest in a personal trainer. Not only will you have someone to tell you how to do your workouts properly and give you proper nutrition, but you’ll also have quite a bit of moral support as well. And NYC, US-based personal trainer Adonis Hill took the “moral support” statement to a whole new level.

How, you may ask? By gaining 70 pounds and then embarking on the same weight loss methods as his client!

When he was younger, Adonis weighed 310 pounds and was depressed. Eventually, he lost 100 pounds and then started getting into bodybuilding and bodybuilding competitions, and he also works as the aforementioned personal trainer.

Adonis joined the A&E program Fit to Fat to Fit.

Here’s what he looked like before joining the program:

And here he is after gaining 69 pounds in 3 months to help his client Alissa. He looks totally unrecognizable after the weight gain, and the gain was in fact monitored by doctors.

In those three months when he gained the weight, Adonis stopped working out completely and ate around 6000-7000 calories per day. His daily meals would normally consist of a creamy coffee and a donut for breakfast, pizza or hot dogs during the day, McDonald’s for dinner and cookie snacks.

Adonis said it was a struggle the second time around to lose the weight, as he worked out along with his client Melissa.

“I was putting in a lot of work in the gym but eating right was hard this time because I was coming off an old addiction… I had to wean myself off unhealthy food.” To kickstart his weight loss, Adonis started a high-fat, high-protein, very low-carb diet, which allowed his body to more readily burn fat.

But Adonis’s and Allisa’s hard work paid off.

Both of them reached their weight goals.

Alissa lost 58 pounds and Adonis lost 54 pounds in four months.

“It’s thinking about people, and what I’ve been through. And I thought to myself ‘If I can change people and their perception about losing weight by going through it again, I’ll do it.'” he said on New York’s PIX 11

Adonis has also started a GoFundMe campaign called “Adonis Moves America”, where he plans to walk across the US. We’re talking nearly 3000 miles in just 210 days. The campaign as of May 2017 still hasn’t reached its goal, so if you support this man please donate to his page.
