Some stories never get old. Although this happened at the beginning of the year, we will always remember the human gesture of the Columbian policewoman. A new mother at the time, Luisa Fernanda Urrea – a police officer in La Marina saved a newborn baby girl from certain death.
Officer Urrea had been called to come to a remote forest by 59-year-old Edina Jimenez, who had found a baby girl while she was gathering oranges. The officer arrived on the scene and she saw that the infant girl had been left to die. The mother of the baby could not be found, and the girl was starving.
Being a new mom officer Urrea done something which could restore our faith in humanity.
