Prince William fully supports his brother’s relationship and he wants the world to know. Rumors that he wasn’t happy with his brother were quelled when he released a statement about his relationship with Meghan Markle.
A spokesperson for Kensington Palace, which looks after the affairs of Prince Harry and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, told The Telegraph: “The Duke of Cambridge absolutely understands the situation concerning privacy and supports the need for Prince Harry to support those closest to him.”
The newspaper reported that the brothers had a “heart to heart conversation”. It was about whether it was appropriate to make a public plea to those abusing Markle — and ultimately decided that it was.
Plus, a royal insider says that Harry would never release the statement without William’s approval.
Prince William has only once released a statement about love life. In 2003, his spokesperson denied he was in a relationship with his friend Jecaa Craig. He had never done that before for his previous alleged girlfriends.
Prince Harry is currently on a 15-day tour of the Caribbean to mark the 35th anniversary of independence of Antigua and Barbuda and the 50th anniversary of independence in Barbados and Guyana. Markle on the other hand is getting into the Christmas spirit with friends in California 2,600 miles away.
