Professor Green Shows Surgery Scar In Brutally Honest Instagram Post About Health Complications

After having surgery, your physical and emotional being is new, stronger, and there are a lot of reminders of what was before. Surgical scars are something not many people dare to reveal, although some people go as far as getting a tattoo that blends with their scar in a fantastic way. The British rapper Professor Green has shown his surgery scars in a brutally honest and emotional Instagram post.

33-year-old Professor Green (Stephen Manderson), opened up about his ongoing health issues. He shared a snap of is bloated stomach and large scar from a botched hernia operation in April 2017. He also thanked fans for their support and admitted he had been battling with depression in the last couple of months.

There’s no after pic yet, this is the beginning of the journey. People are shlags and only post a view into their (often unrealistic) ‘perfect world’. I’ve been a shlag to all things bad; a shlag to my depression, a shlag to drink, a shlag to the sesh, a shlag to not creating, a shlag to distracting myself from the one thing that truly makes me happy – music. I’ve been a shlag to EVERYTHING NEGATIVE. After surgery going wrong this year it slumped me, I look and feel like shit. If I still look like this in 6 months then I’ve failed. If there hasn’t been a whole load of new music then I’ve failed. No one is going to sort me out for me, so I figured it’s probably time I did it for myself. I can’t have a dad bod without bloody having a kid first! And I can’t leave music behind knowing I haven’t peaked yet… the stuff I’ve started is the best yet – time to get it finished. Cheers for staying with me and being such loyal fans and friends, bless ❤️

The rap star captioned the image:

If there hasn’t been a whole load of new music then I’ve failed. No one is going to sort me out for me, so I figured it’s probably time I did it for myself. My mood at being back in my least favourite place, the hospital #whenwillitend

Earlier this year Green went to a hospital where he was admitted to have three hernias treated. However, he later suffered from pneumonia, a partially collapsed lung and a fluid build-up.

He often shared photos from hospital on Instagram letting his followers know how he was. Interestingly, he states that he didn’t make all the details available to the public because he didn’t want to worry his grandmother.

It’s not all dark and gloomy, though. He has also tried to post some entertaining photos on his account.

In one snap he joked:

“I’m telling you, when it comes to fashion – NO TIME OFF. @stellamccartney knitted comfy jumper with NHS gown, compression socks and @reebokclassicsuk workouts.”

I’m telling you, when it comes to fashion – NO TIME OFF. @stellamccartney knitted comfy jumper with NHS gown, compression socks and @reebokclassicsuk workouts 💅 Edit: let’s not forget the NHS road-man bag/piss bag and the fact the jumper is colour blocked with the stocking 💅💅

He has clearly been going through a hard time recently and he is certainly fighting hard.
