It turns out that Queen Elizabeth has been using her clothing accessories to communicate with her staff!
Secret communication has been around for centuries now and women are the best at it. They can communicate through their accessories by moving them in a certain way. But a whole new language was invented for the world’s longest reigning living monarch, Queen Elizabeth II.
Below you will learn how to tell if the Queen is bored with your conversation and other awesome secret communication!
According to Hugo Vickers, a royal historian, the Queen uses her bag to send secret signals to her staff. Switching the bag from one hand to the other indicates that she is ready to move on from a conversation.
So if you’ll ever meet Queen Elizabeth and she does this, just know that you bored her!
Another interesting thing is that when she places her bag on a table during an event, it means that she is ready to leave.
The other secret signal involves a twist of her wedding ring. The twist is done to inform her staff that she would like to move from the conversation really fast.
‘It would be done very nicely. Someone would come along and say, “Sir, the Archbishop of Canterbury would very much like to meet you”. Says Hugo.
The Queen also uses a buzzer during official meetings at The Buckingham Palace. This gives her staff the nod to open the doors and accompany the guests out.
But Queen Elizabeth is not the only one who uses her handbag for secret communication. The Duchess of Cambridge does it too.
Kate often holds her bag with her both hands when shaking hands might be awkward, now that is smart!
They can’t afford to have awkward moments that’s a sure thing!
