Rupert Grint Bought Himself An Ice-Cream Van And Is Making Kids Happy
Remember Ron Weasley, I mean, Rupert Grint? Well, it seems that some of that Harry Potter magic rubbed off on him, and he’s pulling some magic tricks in real life too.
Magic tricks like, say, buying your own ice-cream van. Just imagine the possibilities! As LadBible reports, before Mr. Weasley, I mean Mr. Grint (damn it) wanted to become an actor, his first wish in life was…
TO BECOME THE ICE-CREAM MAN.
But it was all thanks to a form of magic taking the form of little green pieces of paper, as the talented actor was struggling what to spend his well-earned cash for. Then it struck him – why not try and fulfill his original childhood dream?
“My first ambition was to become an ice-cream man, which is why I bought the Bedford van.” He told The Daily Mail back in 2014.
“Not long after I first got it, I pulled into a pub to do a U-turn and there were eight kids with their pocket money out, hoping to buy a 99 or whatever. But I had nothing to give them. I’ve learnt my lesson since then,” he explained.
I mean, come on now? OBVIOUSLY it is meant for him that he should be selling ice-cream! It’s his destiny!

Mr. Grint, I men Weasley, went on to add:
“I keep my van well stocked. It’s got a proper machine that dispenses Mr Whippy ice cream and I buy my lollies wholesale – 50 for a tenner – so I never run short. I’m not allowed to sell my merchandise. I’d need a licence for that.”
But that doesn’t stop him from being the ice-cream man all the kids love!
“I tend to avoid July and August, but the rest of the year I’ll drive around the local villages and if I see some kids looking like they’re in need of ice creams, I’ll pull over and dish them out for free. They’ll say, ‘Ain’t you Ron Weasley?’ And I’ll say, ‘It’s strange, I get asked that a lot’.”
But jokes and childhood dreams made real aside, the talented actor has a real fondness of cars and vehicles. He even starred in Top Gear back in 2012, where he revealed that besides his ice-cream van, he also owned a Range Rover and a hovercraft!
