He Walks Daughter To School On The First And Last Day

Going through a stack of old pictures at the end of his daughter’s senior year of high school, Jason Gayler could’t help but get emotional when he saw one picture. It showed him walking his daughter, Brittany, to school on her first day of kindergarten, when she was only 5 years old. The picturegave him an idea! He just had to recreate it. On her last day of high school, he decided to walk Brittany to school one last time to Alvord High School, Texas.  She shared pictures on Twitter but never expected that this special moment would go viral.

“It was very bittersweet walking with him,” Brittany told TODAY. “It’s definitely a moment I’m going to remember forever. When I posted the tweet and going back and forth through the pictures, it just amazes me how fast it goes by. It feels like yesterday that we were taking that first picture.”

He was inspired after he saw an old photograph walking Brittany on the first day of kindergarten.

Graduation is a very important milestone in a young person’s life.

Just the fact that they decided to recreate the picture is adorable and pretty inspirational.

As you can see from the pictures, Brittany’s dad hasn’t really aged.

“When everyone kept asking why my dad hasn’t aged and if he was Benjamin Button, my first reaction was, ‘Have you seen him in person?”’ Brittany joked. “But I do have to be honest. When I went back and looked at the pictures, I did notice that he still looks young.”

This is a picture of her dressed like Snow White from Halloween too.

Reactions on Twitter have been crazy. A lot of people think that this recreation is very cute.

Others ladies are expressing just how good he looks.

Jason described this picture as an emotional time.

“It has been a bit shocking with a mix of happiness,” Jason told TODAY about the reaction to the photos.

“I’ve always been so grateful that my parents have been there for me,” The new graduate told Buzzfeed. She claims that she also was a little bit shy.

“It brings me great joy if we were able to help people think back to that time, even if just for a brief moment, and smile. I can hope one day when I’m old I can look back at this and smile,” Jason adds.

Brittany was shocked at how popular the tweet got. It received 14k retweets and 62k likes on Twitter.
