Selena Gomez has always been open and candid about her health. In 2015 the 25-year-old singer revealed she had been diagnosed with lupus. It is an autoimmune disease that occurs when your body’s immune system attacks your own tissues and organs. Her doctors warned her that she might need a kidney transplant one day.
“Maybe I wasn’t necessarily really good at knowing what that meant so it actually got to a point where it was life-or-death” she boldly told the audience.
