Serena Williams and her fiance who is the Reddit co-founder, Alexis Ohanian, just welcomed their baby girl into the world on Friday. Of course, social media was fast to congratulate the proud parents, which included well-wishes from celebrities and athletes of the tennis world.
But one of the first stars was Beyonce, the mother-of-three, who shared a picture of the 35-year-old during her pregnancy wearing a white dress with a billowing train.
On the image, the words “Congratulations Serena!” were superimposed.
Getting in early: Beyonce, or Queen Bey, was one of the first celebs to congratulate Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian on the birth of their baby girl on Friday.
“You Reddit here first” Wendy Williams joked referring to Alexis. “Congratulations!”
Venus Williams was busy playing a US Open match at the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in NYC but later told ESPN:
“Obviously I’m super excited. Words can’t describe.”
Quick with a quip: Wendy Williams couldn’t resist the joke obviously.
“What a great day”: Actress-comedienne Sandra Bernhard offered her thoughts on Twitter.
TV and Internet personality B. Scott, aka Brandon Scott, sent “Congrats to new momma. She gave birth to a healthy baby girl weighing 6 pounds, 13 ounces today.”
Now moving on to the tennis world, former women’s champ Chissie Evert sent some emojis with clapping hands, baby bottles and prayer hands while offering her “love and best wishes.”
Beautiful photo: Brandon Scott shared this almost nude photo of the tennis champ showing her baby bump.
Men’s champ Rafael Nadal tweeted: “Congrats Serena!!! So Much joy for you!!!”
Patrick Mouratoglou who is Serena’s coach posted three tweets by opening how he has three daughter and “each time it’s an incredible journey.”
Then he added some advice by saying: “I wish you a speedy recovery – we have a lot of work ahead of us.”

USTA, the body behind the US Open Tennis Championships, posted a video that kicked off with a collage of the new mom’s greatest moments.
“Welcome to the best club in the world, motherhood,” said USTA CEO Stacey Allaster.
Serena went into labor on Wednesday afternoon where her daughter was born at St. Mary’s Medical Center in West Palm Beach, Florida.
Serena gave birth on Friday afternoon.
