Simon Cowell suffered an accident in his London home this morning and was rushed to the hospital, reported The Sun newspaper.
The music mogul and creator of talent shows such as Britain’s Got Talent and The X Factor was wearing a neck brace while being transported from his house to the ambulance in a stretcher. The ambulance was called this Friday morning, at around 8 o’clock, after the 58-year-old apparently collapsed and fell down the stairs.
Cowell fainted and fell down the stairs
At present, it isn’t known whether his girlfriend, Lauren Silverman, and his son, Eric were there at the time of the accident.
“It’s been a scary morning. It was very early and Simon was going down his stairs to get some hot milk because he couldn’t sleep. He fainted and is thought to have fallen down the stairs. An ambulance was called and he was stretchered out of the house in a neck brace surrounded by worried aides,” a source close to Cowell stated for The Sun.
The extent of his injuries are as yet unknown. As of Friday afternoon, he remains in the hospital for further tests, but his condition is stable. A source revealed that there is concern about whether or not, Cowell will be able to reprise his role as judge in The X Factor live shows, the first of which is scheduled for tomorrow, October 28.
