Adele has taken her Grammy tally to 15 and she has won the top three awards for the second time in her career. But although Beyoncé only won two out of nine nominations, she left her mark on the 59th annual installment of the awards ceremony as much as the London-born singer did. Adele even broke her Album of the Year Grammy in two and offered one-half to her colleague, saying that if Beyoncé was not recognized for ‘Lemonade’, when would she ever be?

Queen Bey, whose baby bump only added to her charms, was left teary-eyed by the English pop diva’s gesture. She then went on to dazzle the crowd with an electrifying nine-minute performance that included renditions of “Love Drought” and “Sandcastle”, as well as the words of the London-based Somali poet Warsan Shire.

The ever-influential Beyoncé proved her charisma once more, as her appearance and performance left a deep mark on everyone attending. Many of her colleagues took to social media to share their infatuation with the voice behind ‘Lemonade’.

One of them was Christine Teigen who just couldn’t stop the tweets (and tears):

“I am crying. My bey. I cannot breathe,” read the first one, soon followed by one single word: “Dead.”

Teigen then uploaded a shot of Beyoncé taken during her performance, before signing off with a teary-eyed selfie with husband John Legend and Jason Derulo, captioned simply “Goodbye.”

The 31-year-old model was not the only one deeply touched by Beyoncé’s set. Gigi Hadid, Yara Shahidi, Zara Larsson and Sia all took to Twitter to praise a unique experience.
