A Michigan groom with his friends and family hired a cabin in Tennessee to celebrate his upcoming wedding, and he wasn’t planning any party crashers. As the party was about to begin, Mitchel Craddock and his friends were preparing the snacks when the surprise arrived.
When they rustled up some bacon, they opened the door to let the glorious smell out into the wilderness. “We were cooking bacon with the door open. The next thing you know, there’s this dog sitting right at the front door. She wouldn’t come inside, but she sat right there,” Mitchel told ABC News.
The groom and his friends fed the dog and soon they realized she is a female and probably has puppies.
“After we gave her a bunch of food and water she started producing milk again. So we figured if she’s making milk, her pups can’t be that old.” explained the groom.
Therefore they searched the nearby woods and found seven in a hole in the woods covered in dirt and fleas.
This was an emotional moment for Mitchel and his friends. They set each puppy in front of the mother.
“As she checked out the pups, and to the person holding them, she gave the look of ‘It’s OK, I trust you,” he said.
They bathed the whole furry family and bought dog food.
Now, all of the puppies and the mother are adopted by the men. What’s even better they all live next door to each other.
