Donald Trump’s tenure in the White House has so far been, as expected, controversial, but there is one member of his family who is quite a cool character but doesn’t get half the media attention other members of the Trump household seem to be getting: Tiffany Ariana Trump.
The 23-year-old model appears smart and talented and doesn’t allow herself to be caught in the political side of things much. Here’s all you need to know about the youngest Trump daughter.
1. She’s headed to the White House
In May this year, it was announced Tiffany will attend Georgetown University’s prestigious law school in Washington. Who knows, perhaps we might see another Trump in the White House one day?
2. Her boyfriend is a Democrat
Her father is a Republican president, but perhaps surprisingly for many, Tiffany’s boyfriend Ross Mechanic is a registered Democrat, according to the International Business Times. That hasn’t stopped Mechanic from showing up to events such as the Republican National Convention with his girlfriend.
3. Marla Maples is her mother
In the ’90s, Donald Trump who had been married to Ivana Trump for 12 years had a widely publicized long-running affair with TV personality Marla Maples in the ’90s. After divorce dust settled, Maples and Trump married two months after Tiffany Trump was born. Fast-forward 20 years, Maples somehow managed to raise a Trump heir in near anonymity.
4. Tiffany and her mother are very close
Once Marla and Donald divorced, mother and daughter, moved to California and forged a strong bond. Maples told Oprah Winfrey on Where Are They Now? that Donald Trump supported his daughter financially but that she considered herself a single parent when it came to the actual parenting. When Tiffany was a teen, she and her mother cooked, played tennis together and formed a close relationship. “We’ve always been very close since she did raise me as a single mom,” Tiffany once told the Daily Mail.
5. She’s an Ivy Leaguer
Tiffany attended her father’s alma mater, the University of Pennsylvania, and graduated in 2016 with a double major in sociology and urban studies. Both of her parents attended her commencement ceremony, along with siblings Ivanka and Barron.
6. Tiffany is worth less than $1 million
The recent college graduate’s current net worth is estimated at $600,000, compared to her dad’s net worth of $4.1 billion. Plenty of time for that to change, though.
7. She’s an aspiring pop star
In her teenage years, Tiffany harbored ambitions of becoming a pop star.
She told the Daily Mail, “I love music, it’s always been very dear to me. It’s more of a hobby right now, but we’ll see in a couple of years if I actually want to take it to the next level as a professional level. Right now the focus is on school.”
In 2014, while attending the University of Pennsylvania, she released a music single called “Like a Bird”. The youngest Trump daughter has also worked as an intern at Vogue and modeled for a 2016 Andrew Warren fashion show during New York Fashion Week
8. She’s not as tall as her sister
Both Ivanka and Tiffany have modeled, but Ivanka, from Trump’s first marriage to ex-wife Ivana, is the taller of the two. Ivanka takes after her father at an estimated 5 feet, 11 inches, while Tiffany is 5-foot-8.
9. She’s got a big Instagram following
Tiff has officially been dubbed a “Rich Kid of Instagram” with famous friends Kyra Kennedy and EJ Johnson, daughters of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Magic Johnson respectively. Over 862k followers are observing her posts of skiing trips, fancy clothes and vacations in Palm Beach.
10. She is not a black sheep
Although she grew up away from her father, that doesn’t mean Tiffany hasn’t had the lifestyle you’d expect of a Trump heir. Her high school education cost over $31,000 a year, she often travels to exotic destinations on Daddy’s private jet and her famous sister, Ivanka, got her an exclusive internship at Vogue in the U.S.
Still, the President of the United States is proud of her because she not only does well in school, but she’s a good person too.
“She really is a terrific student, but more importantly, whenever we get the report card, the teachers write that she is the nicest person. Every one of them says, ‘Tiffany’s marks are an A, but more importantly, she’s one of the nicest students we’ve ever had,'” proud dad Donald said.
