We love to talk to you about the wonderfulness (is that even a word?) of being married. Spending quality time with your partner, starting a family and just enjoying being around each other. We don’t tend to talk about the bad sides of marriages, particularly divorce.
As unfortunate as it can be, it happens more often than you might think, and sometimes, it’s for the better. There are tons of different reasons why one of the partners can file for divorce, whether that would be that one of the partners is having an extramarital affair, or perhaps there are too many conflicts going on between the partners. Either way, divorce is not uncommon among marriages that don’t really work, and you should be prepared because one day you might get into such a deep conflict with your partner, that it could just cost you the marriage.
Whatever the case may be for you, TIME Magazine has created a chart that shows how long people stay married at what age, and at what age divorce usually happens.
I’m not sure how helpful this chart is, but it shows you at what age the most common divorce happens. If you fall into one of the “highly to get divorced” age groups on this chart, then… we’re sorry.
