Tom Cruise is an actor well known for doing his own stunts, right? Well, recently while shooting the new Mission Impossible movie (they just can’t put it to rest, can they?), he was jumping across buildings and his decision to do his own stunts got the better of him: he suffered a leg injury.
The video, as you saw, shows the actor jumping from rooftop to rooftop attached to a harness
He slammed into the wall of the nearby building severely injuring his leg.
He was in some pretty major pain after the accident
I think that might have been a bit obvious though
He briefly turned from the wall appearing unsure of what to do
Tom limps away and holds onto his knee, wincing in pain.
The crew then saw Tom limping on to the roof where they were
A crew member helping him on to another roof top
He was helped along to a different rooftop by the crew to get treatment
Tom’s crash comes shortly after the CEO of Skydance Media, David Ellison, revealed that he will be performing the “most impressive and unbelievable” stunt of his career.
He told Collider: “What Tom is doing in this movie I believe will top anything that’s come before. It is absolutely unbelievable—he’s been training for a year.”
“It is going to be, I believe, the most impressive and unbelievable thing that Tom Cruise has done in a movie, and he has been working on it since right after Rogue Nation came out [in 2015].
“It’s gonna be mind-blowing.”
Certainly gets me excited for the new Mission Impossible. Do you agree? Share your thoughts in the comments!
