Top 9 Remedies to Remove Stretch Marks


Stretch marks, whether caused by sudden weight loss, pregnancy or rapid growth in your teenage years, can be unsightly and make you feel uncomfortable in your own skin.

While they are part of your story, there are certain natural measures you can take to reduce their appearance.

We have collected different remedies, so you can try a few and see which one works best for you and your skin.

1. Apricot Mask 
What you need:
• Apricots- 2-3
• Lukewarm water- enough to wash off your skin having marks.
What to do:
1. Cut open the apricots and remove their seeds 2. Crush the fruits into a paste 3. Apply this apricot paste on your stretch marks 4. Leave for about 15-20 minutes 5. Wash off with warm water.

Repeat this action daily for at least a month.
2. Aloe Vera 
What you need:
• Aloe vera leaf
What to do:
1. De-thorn the aloe vera leaf and remove its outer skin 2. Remove the sticky gel from the inside of the leaf 3. Apply this fresh aloe gel on your stretch marks 4. Leave on for two hours before washing off.

Again repeat this action daily for at least a month.
3. Natural Oils 

Natural oils are packed with beneficial nutrients for skin problems. First identify which oil you would like to use and massage the oil into the skin for at least half an hour daily to see any results. Alternatively you can apply the oil three or four times daily.
Oils that you can use:
• Olive oil
• Lavender oil
• Rose oil
• Frankincense oil
• Myrrh oil
• Geranium oil
• Helichrysum oil
• Chamomile oil
You can also mix certain oils and apply them the same as with single ingredients
• lavender oil- ½ tsp
• Chamomile oil- ½ tsp
• Almond oil- 2 tsp ( you can use any other carrier oil like avocado oil, jojoba oil etc. in place of almond oil)

4. Potato Juice 

What you need:
• Potato- 1 (medium sized)
• Knife
• Lukewarm water

What to do:
1. Cut the potato into thick slices 2. Take a slice and rub it gently over your stretch marks applying the juice all over your marks 3. Leave it for 5-10 minutes 4. Wash off with lukewarm water.
