  1. Window frames

In the lower part of the frame sprinkle on some soda. Use a water spray bottle filled with water and vinegar in a ratio of 1:1, spray on to the soda. Rub thoroughly with an old toothbrush and wipe firstly with a paper towel, then with a wet cloth. Bright and shiny!

  1. Furniture upholstery

Mix together 1 tablespoon of soda, 1/3 of a glass of vinegar, some hot (but not boiling) water, and 1 tablespoon of washing powder. The mixture works well for removing stains from upholstery. For a simple freshening for furnishings just sprinkle a thin layer on top and leave it for a few hours, then vacuum it up.

  1. In-between those tiles

The accumulation of dirt and mould in the spaces between tiles in the bathroom can be removed by rubbing the affected area with a mixture of vinegar and soda. Leave the mixture on the surface for a couple of minutes, then rinse with water and wipe dry. Use an old toothbrush for any stubborn areas
