You probably all can agree that the kitchen is the hardest place in the house to clean, but in terms of being hard to clean, the kitchen is not on its own. Joining it at a close second is the shower.
“Why is it so difficult to clean?” you wonder… Well, it’s because it keeps getting dirty and grimy no matter what you do. After a while, you’ll see dried up water stains all over the shower head itself, and on the glass windows (if your shower has those). You’re probably sick of cleaning the shower every couple of days, and also probably think its time for those stains to go away and stay away.
If this is you, then the Queen of Clean has the perfect two-ingredient shower cleaner for you!
Yep, as hard as it may be to believe, this cleaner has just two ingredients, both of them easy to come by, and it gets the job done, regardless of if you have faux marble, tile or fiberglass in the shower.
Here’s what you’ll need to get that place clean:
- 1 cup Dawn dishwasher soap
- 1 cup heated vinegar
- A funnel
- A spray bottle
- A sponge
First step is to heat up the vinegar in the microwave or on the stove, making sure it’s only warm to the touch and not scorching hot.
Use a funnel to get both ingredients into your spray bottle.
Roll the bottle to combine the ingredients
Then, to use it, spray a heavy coat of it onto the shower wall and use the scrubbing side of a sponge to… scrub it in
Leave this spray to sit on your shower walls for 30 minutes.
After 30 minutes, wash each wall one at a time with cold water.
If you want to clean the floor as well, make sure to do it last, as we don’t exactly want you to slip on the floor due to the soap mixture’s slippery characteristics and then bad stuff to happen.
You also need to make sure of two things; the vinegar shouldn’t be too hot once you’re done heating it and roll the bottle instead of shaking it, as shaking it will cause suds.
