Getting enough sleep is a crucial part of keeping our body and our mind healthy. People even have tricks for rest, to keep themselves focused or napping for a short amount of time. Leonardo Da Vinci had a ritual, 20-minutes sleeping breaks every several hours in order to be up and about working. Winston Churchill had a two-hour nap ritual every day, so he could work at night. And even Mariah Carey has a thing where she has to sleep 15 hours, because it keeps her voice the way it is.
Now, researchers have discovered that the way you sleep reveals details about your personality and that in fact, it can tell a lot. The position you’re sleeping in can tell if you’re shy, confident, gullible and so much more.
The earliest research on this dates back to the 1930s, when one man monitored the sleeping positions of a few people. He showed ‘the differences in personality between good and poor sleepers in conjunction with their differences in sleep position’s. In recent years Professor Chris Idizkowski, the director of the Sleep Assessment and Advisory Service, analyzed six different sleeping positions. He says; ‘We are all aware of our body language when we are awake, but this is the first time we have been able to see what our subconscious posture says about us.’
