The TV host Wendy Williams passed out in the middle of the Halloween episode of her talk show; The Wendy Williams Show. Now, with tears on her face she explains what really happened: “I’m a 53-year-old middle-aged woman going through what middle-aged women go through if you know what I mean,” the daytime host said. Williams got emotional when she was explaining to her audience that despite the rumors, what really happened to her was an episode of dehydration. When the scary moment happened she was feeling hot, dizzy and in general weird.
“So we come back from the break, I heard nothing that the producer said. I immediately go to the teleprompter and that’s when you saw me with the eyes”. Williams explained. “It was really scary. It was so scary, all I could think of in the middle of the scare was, ‘Don’t pull the podium over on you, because that’ll make it worse.”
When people speculated why she was reaching for her head when she was falling in her Statue of Liberty costume, Williams explained:
“That was because I promised myself two things. First of all, this is never going to happen again. Second of all, if it’s going to go down, it’s got to be as cute as I could make it. So I’m going down with the crown, and I’m not pulling this plexiglass podium to break my bones.”
Even though she wasn’t hurt, this scary experience made her realize that maybe it’s time to slow down. However, the 53-year-old still managed to finish her Halloween episode even after the fall.
Also, she thanked all of her fans for their love and support :”I want to thank you all for your tweets and your flowers and my colleagues in this game on TV, I got all of your well wishes.” William didn’t forget to address her haters saying “For people who thought that I was stroking out, trying to get this purple chair next, nope, I’m here for a long time.”
