The Royal family is making headlines again this week. After the official November the 27th announcement that 33-year-old Prince Harry and 36-year-old actress Meghan Markel are engaged, the media went crazy. The couple is set to marry in May next year and fans of the royal family around the world can hardly wait.
Thirty-five-year-old Prince William also has his own hilarious reason to be excited. Although there have been many different reactions to the royal engagement, it was the Duke of Cambridge’s reaction that had people giggling.
William faced reporters in Helsinki, Finland to state that he and Kate were ‘delighted’ and ‘happy’ for the newly-engaged couple. But his next sentence had everyone laughing. He said, “Personally, I hope it means he stays out of my fridge” and that he hopes his brother will stop “scrounging around for food as he’s done for the last few years.”
Apparently, Prince Harry would often appear at his brother’s apartment at the Kensington Palace, where Kate Middleton would cook him a meal. Interestingly, a roasted chicken was one of his favorites.
When Prince Harry proposed to Ms. Markle, he reportedly did it during a quiet night at home as they were roasting chicken! Poor Prince William, he might not be so lucky to avoid his brother’s gastronomically-motivated visits just yet, as after he marries the Suits actress, the two couples will be next door neighbors.
After his comments about Harry hopefully staying out of his fridge, Prince William went on to reveal more. He claimed that the wedding planning is actually a ‘fantastic process’ while recounting his own 2010 ceremony.
“They’ve got a lot of happy times ahead of them and I think they’re very caught up in the moment, and I wish them all the happiness and success in planning the wedding. I hope it goes really well,” the 35-year-old stated.

“Very excited and delighted for them both”. Before leaving the ice rink in Helsinki today, The Duke commented on the announcement of Prince Harry and Megan Markle’s engagement. The Duke is on a two-day visit to Helsinki, his first official visit to Finland. #RoyalVisitFinland coincides in the year the country celebrates its 100 Year anniversary of independence.
