Titanic co-stars Kate Winslet, 41, and Leonardo DiCaprio, 42, caught up in Saint Tropez, France in July, the Daily Mail reports. The two actors, who have had a strong bond ever since they starred as Rose DeWitt Bukater and Jack Dawson in James Cameron’s 1997 reunited for a gala organized by DiCaprio’s environmental foundation.

The famous pair who have always emphasized the strength of their friendship, with Leo admitting ‘she’s the best’ and Kate gushing she ‘loved him with all her heart’ in her 2009 Golden Globe speech. The two starred together in Revolutionary Road, directed by Kate’s then-husband Sam Mendes, in 2008.
Now, they are proving once again their bond is just as strong. Kate and Leo not only posed for photos at the event in the South of France, but they also took some time to catch up poolside at DiCaprio’s luxurious French estate.

The Titanic co-stars seemingly had a lot to catch up on, as they chatted away on the deck of Leo’s villa, soaking up the July sun before they walked back into the house with their arms wrapped affectionately around each other.
Kate and Leo were on the French Riviera for DiCaprio’s annual foundation gala held at the Domaine Bertaud Belieu in St. Tropez, where the pair auctioned off the chance to dine with them at the winner’s place of choice in New York City.

Later that evening, the pair happily posed together for cameras with DiCaprio in a slick suit and Winslet in a slinky black dress before giving a speech onstage together.
The Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation is “dedicated to the long-term health and well-being of all Earth’s inhabitants”‘, and has granted $80 million to environmental causes and organizations since 2008.
The star-studded event was attended by Heidi Klum, Sean Penn, Lenny Kravitz, who performed for guests, and even Titanic co-star Billy Zane – who took to Instagram to share their reunion with fans, twenty years after the film was released.
“Gangs all here. Now we’re saving icebergs. Go figure…” the 51-year-old actor provided the pun of the evening in the caption.

In Titanic, Winslet’s character leaves fiance Cal Hockley (played by Zane) after meeting working class artist Jack who is traveling third class and falling for him, while aboard the doomed luxury liner.
The movie won a then-record eleven Oscars out of the fourteen it was nominated for the year after its release, and has since grossed a whopping $2 billion worldwide – the second film in history to do so after Avatar, another film directed by Cameron.
The pair who also starred in 2008’s romantic drama Revolutionary Road together, proved their chemistry once again at the bash
“Leo, I’m so happy I can stand here and tell you how much I love you and how much I’ve loved you for 13 years,” Winslet said during her Golden Globes speech in 2009
“She’s the best,” DiCaprio famously stated about his Titanic co-star
Winslet won the Best Actress gong at the 2009 Golden Globes for revolutionary road, where she famously stated: “Leo, I’m so happy I can stand here and tell you how much I love you and how much I’ve loved you for 13 years, and your performance in this film is nothing short of spectacular. I love you with all my heart, I really do,” during her acceptance speech, to which the actor blew her kisses from the audience.
Following her win, Leo returned the compliments by revealing at the awards’ after party: “She is still as beautiful and radiant as she was the day I met her…she’s the best.”
Over the years, the pair have attended numerous high profile events together and have always stated the strength of their friendship. In 2004, DiCaprio even teased of a stronger connection between the pair, admitting to Oprah when asked who the best person he had kissed was: “Oh boy…There’s going to be some mad actresses… I’m just going to go with Kate Winslet, good old classic.”

Appearing side by side on the SAG Awards red carpet in 2005, Kate then returned compliments by admitting to her friend: “I just feel so proud that you’ve turned into this really special person. You’re a really wonderful person.”
Despite their close bond, Winslet denied there being a romance between the two back in 2014. Speaking to British Marie Claire she explained their friendship only worked because they had no romantic interest – meaning they could always support each other both in their careers and personal lives.
“I think the reason that friendship works is because there was never any romantic thing. It’s so disappointing for people to hear that, because in the soap opera of the Kate and Leo story we fell in love at first sight and had a million snogs, but actually we never did. He always saw me as one of the boys; I’ve never really been a girly-girl,” she revealed.
“We needed each other to lean on because we were very young and working all kinds of crazy bloody hours and it was a shock to the system.”
Kate is currently married to Ned Rocknroll, who she wed in New York in 2012, while Leo has had a more hectic love life – dating the likes of Gisele Bündchen and Bar Rafaeli, before being romantically linked to ten Victoria’s Secret models.
