This Woman Thought She Had A Pimple On Her Brow, But It Turned Out To Be Something Far Worse

I don’t know about you, but the thing I least look forward to no matter what happens in my life is being forced to pop a pimple or cyst. Not only is it absolutely disgusting, it hurts and it’s tedious if you have more than one. But sometimes, it’s necessary to do if we want to get rid of them. Or at least, that’s what we think. After reading this girl’s story, you’ll never want to pop another cyst or pimple ever again. In your life. Ever.

Katie Wright saw what seemed to be a pimple near her right eyebrow. She tried to pop it, thinking that she was just squeezing a simple spot, but the situation ended up being far worse.

But even Dr. Pimple Popper would have her work cut out in the case of Katie Wright. Thinking she was squeezing a simple spot, Katie ended up in a much worse situation than she could have ever predicted.
“A week ago I decided to pick at what I thought was a giant under the skin pimple because it had been hurting for a while and got too painful to ignore. Within an hour my entire face swelled up and HURT. It felt like something was going to burst out of my skin.” she posted online.

“I went to the emergency room and they said it was a very serious case of Cellulitis, which is a version of a Staph infection, but instead of having a head like Staph, it effects the deeper cellular tissues with no main source to attack. Since it was on my face, there was a huge risk of it spreading to my brain or my eyes causing me to go blind.” she added.

Her post was shared by a Facebook page named Make Up Heavens, and Katie tweeted a rather humorous response to the sharing:

Even though she healed it successfully and is, as of now, fine, she wanted to warn everybody using makeup:
“Thankfully it is finally healing and my face is going back to normal. BUT I want to share this because this most likely happened from bacteria getting on my eyebrow pencil brush. I’m super strict on washing my face/beauty blender/brushes, but I never ever thought to disinfect my eyebrow spoolie. If you wear makeup PLEASE make that a step in your cleaning routine!!!! It’s a small thing to do to avoid a painful, expensive, and traumatizing infection on your face.”

Luckily for Katie, she recovered just fine. She revealed in a recent tweet that “It happened about a year ago, and I’ve healed just fine btw”.
