Lisa Werner is a Californian lady who started an interesting photography project that turned out to be a real adventure. A couple of days ago, she uploaded 9 out of 13 pictures she took on her recent travel to Europe. Lisa returned from her Europe trip, where she followed her brother and his daughter as they bicycled along the Rhine River. She met them halfway in France and tried to locate where she had previously taken pictures when she used to live in Germany as a student. This was from September 1986 – May 1987. Sadly, she only scanned 13 photos before leaving on her adventure and found the exact locations thirty years later. Now the photos are a part of her blog post and project Then And Now, and it’s amazing to look at and compare them.
Do you think anything changed about these locations? 30 years is such a long time as technology advances, but some places always stay the same.
