Every beauty column, contains advice that goes something like “Do your thing, just make sure you drink enough water.” Sometimes they say there is a specific amount for your weight, others swear by “at least 2 liters”, and you’ll see results with your health will improving. Nearly half of the American population does not drink enough water per day. If you drink less than four eight-ounce glasses per day, then you’re not drinking enough water either.
But can water actually work as medicine?
Sara Smith, a 42-year old woman who experienced some annoying health issues, consulted her doctors and after they recommended that she drink large amounts of water per day, she decided to announce the results online and share her experience. Her medicine was three liters of water per day. Of course, if you’re experiencing health issues, you should discuss it with your doctor. Drinking water isn’t harmful, but in many cases, actual medical advice is necessary.
