Discovery Channel’s reality series Naked and Afraid XL is a real challenge, and only the bravest can endure until the end. The survival skills of a group of people are tested for 40 days and nights in the wilderness. Discovery Channel first premiered Naked And Afraid XL in 2015. Contestants are left in the wilderness with only one or two items allowed, without any clothing, food, or water. The last season (Season 3) premiered on April 23, and it took place in Ecuador’s Amazon basin. Can you imagine what these contestants are fighting for? It has been speculated that there is no prize for them in the end. These are some adventure buddies, but what do they really experience there? Some of the women have revealed astonishing facts about their experience with the wilderness in this show.
The show seems to praise human strength instead of narcissism in extreme conditions. Two women from Naked and Afraid XL have answered some of the most popular inquiries.

Ballestero quickly replied: “The answer is no. That’s not what happens out there. Everyone is dirty and tired; it doesn’t really happen.” Osorio backed up Ballestero’s answer, adding, “You have no libido out there at all. It’s really not [that kind of] experience.”

It seems logical they did, so Osorio confirmed it. “Everyone wants to know what we do when we’re on our period. The show does allow us to have tampons. It’s not only a sanitary hazard, but it’s a safety hazard because you don’t want to attract predators.”

“Oh, God. I have tons of self-esteem issues,” Osorio revealed about appearing naked. “I had to remind myself that I’m beautiful because the people in my life think I’m beautiful.”
