10 Easy Hairstyles You Can Rock When Your Hair Is Looking Oily

You know how it goes, it’s happened to everyone – sometimes you’re just too lazy to wash your hair. You could be tired after a long day of work and you just crash not really caring about your hair or anything else, really. Or you could be running late in the morning and don’t have the time to wash and dry your hair. Besides, washing your hair every day is bad for them anyway. It can dry them out, removing their natural oils and leave them more prone to breakage, resulting in hair that’s less shiny and voluminous.

But oily hair just doesn’t look good. You can’t wear it down because it will look limp and greasy and dry shampoo can only take you so far.  So the best way to manage oily, second (or third) day hair is by putting them up. Not only because it will conceal the fact that your hair is probably in need of a wash, but also because, often oily hair can be easier to style and it will stay put for longer.

So, what will you need to have in order to manage your hair? Just some texturizing spray, hair ties, bobby pins and of course dry shampoo and hairspray. And if you’re worried because you don’t really have any idea how to style your hair, or can’t think of any hairstyles then we are here to help.

Below you can find ten hairstyles that are just as cute as they are easy to do. So, scroll down, and watch and learn.

1. High Ponytail

The first one is, of course, the high ponytail. This will not only hide the fact your hair is oily, but it also makes your hair looks longer, according to the hair stylist in the video. To make it a little fancier, he wraps a lock of hair around the hair tie and then backcombs it to give it more volume and texture.

2. Messy Top Knot

To achieve this look that is both effortless looking (but kinda takes some effort) and cute you will need dry shampoo, bobby pins, hair ties, a comb, and hairspray. Start with dry-shampooing your hair for more texture, and backcombing it for volume. For the rest, you will have to watch the video because it is pretty hard to explain, but you basically messily tie it in a bun.

It just looks good with everything, and even though it looks complicated, it’s really not. All you really need is a headband – that’s it. Watch the tutorial to learn how to do it.

5. Fishtail Braid

Another type of braid that also looks really good is the fishtail braid. This looks like it’s harder to achieve but with some practice, you can learn to do it as well. Pulling on the braid so it looks messier can give it a softer, more elegant look.
