We have not had any new music from Adele in almost four years now, but it looks as though that might finally change! The last time she released new music was in 2015 with her album 25, and she has not appeared on stage ever since she wrapped up her Adele Live concert tour in 2017.
At the time, she said her goodbye to her fans by jokingly claiming she is now “off to have a baby,” though she didn’t end up giving a sibling to her 6-year-old son, Angelo, who she shares with partner Simon Konecki
But, all that aside, new Adele music may potentially be coming our way!
The 15-time Grammy-winning singer has just been spotted entering a New York City recording studio! And, yes, you may start jumping up and down in joy!
The 30-year-old sported a long black raincoat, cinched at the waist, black leggings, and black sneakers as she made her way inside the studio on Wednesday. She also had the hood of her coat up and a pair of dark sunglasses on, seemingly trying to not attract attention.
In 2016, when she ended the U.S. leg of her last world tour, she told the audience that she would be coming back in a couple of years, adding “you won’t be able to get rid of me.” Who’s trying, though, am I right?!
The singer has suffered a string of health complications when it came to her voice in the last years, and she has even had to undergo surgery. In 2011, she suffered a hemorrhage to her vocal cords after she sang live on a French radio show, and she was later forced to cancel her final shows at Wembley Stadium last June after finding out that she had injured her vocal cords again. She told her fans at the time that “To say I’m heartbroken would be a complete understatement.”
However, despite not having released any new music in years, or even going on tour in 2018 alone, the songstress managed to take home $19 million in royalties and album sales which brings her overall fortune to $180 million.
