Ariana Grande TRIED To Fix Her Japanese ‘BBQ Grill’ Tattoo And She Made It Worse

A while ago, Ariana Grande shared a picture on Instagram where we could see her new palm tattoo. The tattoo was in Japanese and it was supposed to say ‘7 Rings!’ However, seems like the singer got it a bit wrong since her fans started writing to her and telling her that the tattoo actually says ‘shichirin’, which is Japanese for ‘barbeque grill’.

Oh, no.

But that does not mean that the singer would be stuck with the tattoo for the rest of her life. She actually tried to get it fixed!

A professional translator has confirmed that her tattoo does no longer say ‘BBQ grill’. True. But it does say ‘BBQ grill finger’. Wait, WHAT?

Ariana shared her new ink design with her followers today where she posted a short clip of her hand. In the clip, we can see the new design, corrected by tattoo artist Kane Navasard, alongside the caption:

Slightly better. Thanks to my tutor for helping me fix and to @kanenavasard for being a legend.

RIP tiny charcoal grill. Miss u man. I actually really liked u.

A Japanese translator spoke to LADbible about the situation saying:

Ariana’s had a nightmare here. Technically, the new tattoo is still not right. If you read it in the same order as the original one, it now says ‘BBQ grill finger ♡’

The only way it would be correct according to the translator is ‘if she added a couple more symbols and rearranged them,’

“But to be honest there was no way of fixing it. She would’ve been better off just getting it lasered off,” the translator concluded.

According to sources, the tattoo was made out of two kanji characters. More specifically, ‘七’, which translates to ‘seven’, and “輪”, which means ‘circle’ or ‘rings’. However, when put together, it, unfortunately, does not mean ‘7 Rings’, but ‘shichirin’ instead.

Fans have also taken to social media to talk about the occurrence.

Someone said: “I’M SCREAMING did Ariana Grande really tattoo the Japanese kanji of bbq grill on her hand SIS.”

Grande, however, replied to one of the fans admitting the mistake. She said:

Indeed, I left out ‘つの指’ which should have gone in between.

I wouldn’t have lasted one more symbol lmao. But this spot also peels a ton and won’t last so if I miss it enough, I’ll suffer thru the whole thing next time [sic].

And… now what? I guess BBQ grill finger works fine…
