Last year, while speaking to British Vogue about the tragedy that took the lives of 22 people, the 25-year-old said that her PTSD is “a real thing.”

It’s hard to talk about because so many people have suffered such severe, tremendous loss … I know those families and my fans, and everyone there experienced a tremendous amount of [PTSD] as well.

I feel like I shouldn’t even be talking about my own experience – like I shouldn’t even say anything. I don’t think I’ll ever know how to talk about it and not cry.

On Thursday, the singer revealed that she is still dealing with PTSD by sharing a scan of her brain on Instagram story which she says illustrates the mental health condition.

She captioned the picture “hilarious and terrifying,” adding that this is “not a joke.”

Along with the brain scan, Ariana also shared a selfie with the words “life is wild,” “my brain is tired,” as well as “she’s trying her muthafuckin best.”

Earlier, the singer tweeted saying she feels “healthier” after releasing music in quick succession but also explained that following a more traditional release schedule has been quite damaging for her mental health.

At the time, Grande wrote on Instagram that she “was so tired from promo trips and was always losing my voice and never knew what city I was in when I woke up,” adding “I just feel so much more connected now … It’s a very dope feeling and has breathed so much air back into my lil lungs.”

However, her fans believe that too much work is “draining” her and that she should be taking some time off to focus on herself and her mental health.
