Ariana Grande Shares Heartbreaking Tribute On What Would Be Mac Miller’s 27th Birthday

Yesterday, January 19, would have marked Mac Miller’s 27th birthday, who unfortunately passed away in September of last year from an apparent drug overdose.

In honor of the rapper’s would-be birthday, his ex-girlfriend, Ariana Grande, whom he dated for two years before they split in May of 2108, posted a series of pictures depicting moments from their lives together, as well as a simple but heart-wrenching message.

The pictures, which were posted to her Instagram Story and have since been deleted show the two of them getting cozy in what appears to be a recording studio, as well as one of the two of them posing in a beach.

In a now-deleted Twitter message, the singer also wrote a simple “miss u”.

But the singer also caused her fans to worry after she shared the following image of actress Marilyn Monroe drinking from a flask, as well as an image which shows a woman crying. It seemed to the fans that the 7 Rings singer was showing her emotional state through the images.

Grande also worried her fans when she shared a series of emotional tweets in late 2018, where she said she was “tired” and pleaded for just “one okay day”. She also went back on an old tweet where she’d said “everything will be okay”, and replied “j fucking k”.

Following the 26-year-old rapper’s tragic passing in September, Grande shared a video depicting a sweet moment between the two, alongside a heartbreaking moment.

“i adored you from the day i met you when i was nineteen and i always will,” she wrote. “i can’t believe you aren’t here anymore. i really can’t wrap my head around it. we talked about this. so many times. i’m so mad, i’m so sad i don’t know what to do. you were my dearest friend. for so long. above anything else. i’m so sorry i couldn’t fix or take your pain away. i really wanted to. the kindest, sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you’re okay now. rest.”

She also skipped the 2018 Emmy Awards in order to “take some much needed time to heal and mend” according to a spokesperson.

But despite the rough going that the 25-year-old singer has had lately, she seems to be doing well now, as she’s recently released a new album, two wildly amazing singles, and has another album coming up, on top of winning Billboard’s Woman of the Year Award. I guess you can say she is a fighter.
