Colton Underwood and Cassie Randolph broke The Bachelor tradition when they decided not to get engaged immediately after the season ended, so now, they are taking things slowly.
But I suppose they weren’t really the most traditional Bachelor couple to begin with. If you recall, Colton was dumped by Cassie and had to choose between Hannah Godwin and Tayshia Adams on the finale. However, the heart wants what it wants and he decided not to give the rose to any of the two final ladies and, instead, chased down Cassie to ask her for another chance. And the rest, as they say, is history.
Now, apparently, they are really trying to make things work for them and are avoiding making mistakes that former Bachelor couples have done. This means that they are not even living together, but he did move to Los Angeles to be closer to her.
Colton spoke for Extra, explaining that the reason they aren’t living together is that they are trying to take things slow, and “do everything as normal as possible.”
“I don’t think you realize how many important steps you miss in the Bachelor process, which is nothing against them,” he elaborated. “We want to make sure we do this the right way. Statistically speaking, for Bachelors, it’s not very good odds, so I think us going against what other Bachelor and Bachelorette couples have done is probably going to work out in our favor.”
So, to put it simply, they are so in love they are trying to do everything in their power to make sure they last. Awh…
However, as with any couple in love, they have given thoughts to an engagement, and according to Colton, 27, it’s not that far off into the future. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight while the pair attended the 54th Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas earlier this month, he said, “Honestly, if I was a betting man I would say it would happen within the next year, yes.”
Speaking of the American Country Music Awards, they had an adorable moment at the event.
Apparently, Colton was so completely enamored with Cassie, 23, that he hyped up her look on Twitter before they even showed up. But Cassie then made him delete the tweet, because as she told People, “I was so mad at him for tweeting that. I was like, ‘Pressure, now, pressure!'”

But after the show, he ended up posting another picture of her, along with the adorable caption: “I’ll be your professional hype man for the rest of our lives. You’re beautiful.”
