The jolly times of Christmas are no doubt the favorite part of the year for many people.
However, for Sara Elliot, 34 and Paul Edwards, 36 this Christmas was a double joy. The couple spoke to each other for a short time online and they decided to tie the knot on their first date. Scroll down and read the full story.
The ceremony was held at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino.
The surprising thing about these two is that they met for the first time at Gatwick Airport on Christmas Eve, before boarding a plane to Las Vegas for their wedding ceremony.
Here’s what the new bride had to say about this unexpected connection:
We instantly clicked – there was an undeniable connection. I feel like Paul’s my best friend already. We’re not looking at everything through rose-tinted glasses. We know it will be challenging, but we’re willing to work together. I’m usually such a logical person, but all the rules have been thrown out. We’ve both tried to do things the traditional way before and it didn’t work out for either of us.
Sarah, who works as a nanny in Tunbridge Wells, also added that they want to commit and make this marriage work like people in the old days did. She said that in the traditional way of marriage, people didn’t date each other for long, they only committed after they got married.
Paul, on the other hand, works in broadcasting and he met Sarah on the dating app called Bumble. They added that after talking for hours over the phone, one of them brought up the idea to get married on their first date and they both approved it.
Meanwhile, Paul has 2 daughters from his previous marriage and he’s waiting to tell them about his unexpected wife. The couple is convinced that they’ll do everything to make the marriage work. This is because they feel comfortable with each other and ready to discuss and solve every problem that comes into their way.
We wish the new couple best of luck in their marriage!
