Any Friends fan will know that one of the most iconic scenes in the show is the “Pivot” scene. I probably do not even have to give you any background for you to know exactly what I am talking about. And Friends’ very own Courtney Cox has just brought us all of the nostalgia this Saturday, as she took to Instagram and recreated that scene.
The actress, 54, seems to be in the process of moving and she shared a video to Instagram where a couple of movers, including her boyfriend, Snow Patrol’s Johnny McDaid, are carrying a table, and she, just like Ross in the show, uselessly yells out “Pivot, pivot,” to them.

If you don’t, however, exactly remember the scene, I’ll refresh your memory. It takes place in the episode titled The One With The Cop, which aired in 1999, halfway through the show’s ten-season run in Season 5, Episode 16.
It features Rachel and Chander as they help Ross move a couch up a staircase. The latter even shows them a chart he’s made which he thinks will make the process run more smoothly. As they haul up the couch up the stairs, Ross very helpfully begins shouting directions at them.
“Pivot. Pivot! Pivot!” he yells, to which Chandler then mockingly replies, “Shut up. Shut up! Shut up!”
You can watch the scene here. Doesn’t it just bring back all the nostalgia?
Cox starred as a main character in the iconic show, alongside Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc, Matthew Perry, and David Schwimmer. They portrayed a group of friends in their twenties living, working, and navigating everyday lives and their relationships in New York City.
The show ran from 1994 to 2004, and the main cast was reportedly each earning a whopping $1 million for every one of the final seasons 22 episodes.
