Customers Are Baffled By Crotchless Jeans By Asos

There used to be times when denim jeans were bell-shaped. Then, there were baggy jeans and skinny jeans. Nowadays, we’ve got the crotchless jeans on the market, too. Wait, what? How is that even a pair of jeans? Shoppers have been left baffled by a pair of barely-there jeans on fashion site Asos. The pair of jeans is not only crotchless but also bottomless. Hm, very interesting… Are you dying to try them out?

The £75 denim trousers ($119 on the US site), billed as ‘chaps’, are from UK fashion label The Ragged Priest’s Black Label collection. They have gone viral on Twitter after a customer spotted them while checking on the site of Asos.

The jeans are slashed just above the groin area. Moreover, they are held together by a pair of metal chain suspenders. In this way, the jeans are revealing a great portion of the upper thigh. Sexy or not?

The jeans are described by the fashion brand as ‘hot-right-now denim’ and promise to ‘add attitude to your style’ if you pair them with t-shirts or beanie hats.

Are you up for it? ‘Cause I am so confused right now…

Just look at the back part and try not to make a face.

The online world is seriously on fire once they noticed the jeans. Many social media users are simply baffled.

One shopper wrote: “£75 to get ur foof out on ASOS. Like. Wtf is this mess [sic],” while another added: “Call me old fashioned but I like my jeans to have an arse in them!’

The light blue, straight-fit jeans also feature a frayed hem and light blue faded denim. As you may have suspected, they are handwash only.

They are named ‘chaps’, which is a shortened version of the Spanish word ‘chaparreras’. These are traditional clothes consisting of a belt and leg coverings, first worn by cattle herders in Spain and Mexico.

It’s not the first time the fashion giant has hit headlines for selling unusual denim designs. In August last year, they had their ‘builders’ bum’ jeans, with a cut-out panel just above the bottom. The pair went viral along with a bizarre denim skirt/jean hybrid.

Here’s another jeans craze that appeared on the Internet.
