Apparently, love really is in the air lately.
We’ve seen Ariana Grande unexpectedly getting engaged to Pete Davidson, then the fairytale-like wedding between Kaley Cuoco and her equestrian (now) husband, Karl Cook, and shortly after that David Foster and Katharine McPhee announced they were now engaged as well.
And last Sunday, the Dancing With The Stars season 13 winner, J.R. Martinez got married to his longtime girlfriend Diana Gonzalez-Jones. The couple had announced their engagement in November 2017.

The wedding took place in Tulum, Mexico, they announced on their The Knot website.
“In their first few months of living in LA their friendship quickly grew closer, going to industry events, the movies, and dinner together on a regular basis with mutual friends,” they wrote.
“Finally, in October of 2010, JR got the nerve to ask Diana if she ever saw their relationship as something that could be more than just friends. Diana felt something too but also knew romantic relationships come and go and she wanted JR in her life forever. After a few months of trying to avoid the inevitable, in December of 2010, they decided to take their relationship to the next level…and now one dog and child later…they are making the biggest leap to best friends forever as husband and wife! You have all been a part of our journey and we could not imagine celebrating this day without you!”
How adorable is that?
For their wedding, Martinez was dressed in a gray suit and a pink tie, while the bride donned a jeweled, mermaid-silhouette wedding gown. The couple’s 6-year-old daughter, Lauryn Anabelle Martinez, who they welcomed in May 2012, was also present.
Martinez is a retired actor who served in the U.S Army, during which time he survived an explosion in 2003 while serving in Iraq.
The two met in 2008 when Martinez was starring in the ABC soap “All My Children,” and Gonzalez-Jones was the assistant to the show’s executive producer. Despite their quick friendship, they didn’t begin a romantic relationship until 2010.
“All this time I was looking for the perfect guy, and I had him right next to me,” said Gonzalez-Jones, speaking for People in 2011. “We were so good as friends that romantically we clicked right away.”
