DIY Face Masks For A Fresh, Glowing, And Hydrated Skin

If there is one thing we swear by then that’s face masks. No matter the condition of our skin, we should always find some time to take care of it properly and face masks are our go-to choice. It is important to find just the right face mask for your skin. That’s because what works on an oily skin can damage a dry skin. An adequate face mask can keep your skin hydrated and remove excess oil and dirt that can clog your pores. Want another reason to start using face masks? They make you feel like you’re at a spa but you’re actually paying way less and doing it from the comfort of your own home.

Here are some DIY face masks that are super easy to make.

Oat Meal Face Mask:




1 egg

Plain Yogurt


How to make it:

Firstly, heat up some water and mix half a cup of it with 1/3 cup of oatmeal. Let the mixture sit for two to three minutes and then add two tablespoons of plain yogurt, two tablespoons of honey and one egg white of a small egg. Mix them well and then apply a thin layer of it on your face. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes and then rinse it with lukewarm water.

Yogurt Face Mask:



Orange slices


How to make it:

What you need to do is mix one teaspoon of plain yogurt with the juice of 1/4 of an orange. Add a little bit of the orange pulp as well and one teaspoon of aloe. Apply a thin layer to your skin and leave it on for about five minutes before rinsing it off with warm water.

Lemon Face Mask:



Olive oil or almond oil

How to make it:

Mix the juice from 1 lemon with 1/4 cup olive oil or sweet almond oil. Mix it well and then apply a thin coat to your skin. Leave it on for 10 minutes before rinsing it off. If you see that the lemon is making your skin itchy or causing any kind of irritation, cleanse your face with running water immediately and pat it try with a cotton cloth.

Home Peel Off Mask:




How to make it:

Take an egg white and add one teaspoon of freshly squeezed lemon juice. Then mix the ingredients thoroughly and entirely. Apply the mask using a makeup brush and then add a tissue paper on top of the first coat. After that, apply another thin coat of the mask. The tissue paper will keep the mask secured tightly. When the mask dries off, slowly and gently peel it off. Then wash your skin with warm water and pat it dry with a cotton cloth.
