Dua Lipa Gives An Inspirational Speech After Winning Best New Artist Grammy Award

The English pop star with Albanian origin, Dua Lipa, took home not one but two Grammy Awards during the 2019 Grammys!

The pop icon appeared at the 61st GRAMMY Awards as the winner of Best New Artist, just after her hit ‘Electricity’ won Best Dance Recording, more specifically, her track featuring Diplo and Mark Ronson.

She took the stage with a speech that seemed to inspire everyone who was aspiring to reach their dreams, and thanked everyone and especially her fans who have brought her where she is now. She said:

I want to say thank you to my fans who have allowed me to be the best version of myself.

Alongside her fans, Dua Lipa also thanked her team and her family. She added:

Just know that no matter where you’re from, or your background, or what you believe in – never let that get in the way of you and your dreams. Because you deserve it!

And I am proof that you can do whatever you put your mind to.

On the red carpet, the Grammy winner was asked about the major categories being dominated by women this year. To which she replied that women are finally ‘stepping up’. See below:

Dua was born on the 22nd of August in the year 1995, in London, England, to Albanian parents. Her hit ‘New Rules’ was very inspirational for women everywhere!
