I’m pretty sure everyone remembers the 1995 version of Jumanji, that starred Robin Williams and where we would see wild animals escaping from the boardgame and into the home of the players and the real world. It was a pretty big mess! However, in the 2017 version of Jumanji, four teens became avatars of their video game, played by Dwayne, Jack Black, Kevin Hart, and Karen Gillan.

Nick Jonas, who played the young man who has been stuck in the game, will also be getting back according to The Hollywood Reporter. There will also be new characters, played by Danny Glover, Awkwafina and Danny DeVito.

Talking about the new cast, as Daily Mail reports, Johnson said:

From Awkafina [sic] to Danny DeVito now one of my action heroes, Danny Glover — it’s been awesome having so many actors and OG legends raise their hands wanting to come and play in our Jumanji universe.

“Who turns into who?’ Will always be the fun magic sauce for our audience,” he said.

Oh, and the actor is also excited for more banter with Kevin Hart. He wrote on Instagram:

Officially planting our JUMANJI flag. On DECEMBER 13th, 2019 – the game is not over.

I hold JUMANJI very close to my heart and I’m beyond grateful you made our movie into the global juggernaut ($1BILLION+) it became. Can’t wait for you to see what our new adventure & new characters have in store as Christmas comes early.

Adding:

And once again, I get to slap @kevinhart4real’s lip’s into next week. The world is happy.
