It’s almost “Game of Thrones” time, you guyssssss!
And just recently, a rather creepy behind-the-scenes picture of Jamie Lannister came up, showing the actor with a lifelike prop arm, meaning there was no CGI involved here.
If you remember, Jamie lost his sword hand back in the third season of the show when both he and Brienne of Tarth were held captive by the Boltons.
In the picture which was posted on Wednesday, fans were able to catch a glimpse of Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who portrays Jamie Lannister in the show, sitting in a kitchen with a prop attached to his own arm.
The actor was covered with mud and fake blood, sporting a glum expression, presumably after filming the infamous scene that saw Jamie lose his hand.
In the third season, Jamie was Brienne’s prisoner and was taken to King’s Landing in an attempt to trade him for Sansa and Arya Stark.
However, during their travel to King’s Landing, both Jamie and Brienne were picked up by riders of House Bolton with their leader Locke, who then cuts off Jamie’s hand to point up that his father Tywin can no longer help him.
After losing the hand, Jamie was given a golden hand to cover the stump, and still fights using his left hand.
Jamie’s character might be one of the most interesting in the show and has gone through a lot these past seven seasons. The last season saw Jamie leaving Cersei in King’s Landing to join Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen in fighting against the White Walkers.
The 48-year-old recently spoke about the final season of the show which airs this month, saying that “all the pieces fit together in the end,” adding “I mean, when I read it… some of the parts of it I’d get, and other parts of it were just completely shocking and surprising.”
Maisie Williams, on the other hand, revealed that some fans won’t like the ending of the show. During an appearance on “Good Morning America,” she and co-star, Sophie Turner, spoke about the finale saying it won’t be to everyone’s taste.
“Some people will be satisfied..,” Sophie said, while Maisie added “and other not so much!”
“Game of Thrones” eighth and final season will air on April 14, 2019.
Will you be watching?!
