‘Game of Thrones’ Season 8 Trailer Has Finally Been Released

It’s here!

The long-awaited, full-length, season 8 trailer for Game of Thrones is finally here! And it did not disappoint – though who ever thought it would? The two-minute clip which previews the very last season of the hit high-fantasy show was shared on Tuesday and it’s chock full of thrilling, tense moments that will just make you wish it was April now!

After two years, the wait for Game of Thrones is finally (almost) over. The 8th and last season is set to air on April 14, and fans have finally been granted an extended glimpse into the upcoming season.

As all good trailers, it barely gives anything away and just leaves us wanting for more. It opens up with a panting Arya Stark running in the dark, presumably being chased by an anonymous (to us) threat. “I know death… he’s got many faces,” she says in a voiceover. “I look forward to seeing this one.” We also get to witness her usual, badass fight moves later in the trailer.

Jamie is seen on a ship which belongs to Euron Greyjoy; Edd, Tormund, and Beric are seen walking along a stone hallway holding a flaming sword; Bran Stark, aka the Three-Eyed Raven, tells Sam Tarley “Everything you did brought you where you are now – where you belong.”

We get a glimpse of a smug-looking Cersei at King’s Landing, we see Daenerys and Jon riding alongside each other at Winterfell among the Unsullied, and Sansa reacting in wonder to Dany’s dragons as she is standing atop one of Winterfell’s towers.

“They’re coming,” Jon then announces. “Our enemy doesn’t tire. Doesn’t stop. Doesn’t feel.”

We also get to see a kiss between Missandei and Grey Worm as he is apparently preparing for battle; we see Jamie in the middle of what seems to be him joining the Winterfell battle. (“I promised to fight for the living,” he says. “I intend to keep that promise”)

And we also catch a glimpse of the upcoming battle scene, which is supposed to last a whole episode and be the longest consecutive action sequence in cinema history. Apparently, it took 55 days to film!

Just watch the trailer below if you haven’t already!
